If you wish to retire a Subject Code so that it doesn’t appear in subject selection lists but leaves it available for historic reports or for future use.
STEPS
- Create a Subject Classification of Type “RET”.
- Allocate “RET” Classification to the subject codes to be retired.
- Browse the list with/without retired codes.
STEP 1 – Create a Subject Classification of Type “RET”
Path: Scholastic > System Functions > Classification
- Select Tab 8 to go to “Classification”
- Add the code “RET”
- Save the record
STEP 2 – Allocate “RET” Classification to the subject codes to be retired.
Path: Scholastic > System Functions > Subject Codes
- Search the subject code that you wish to tag as “Retired”
- Click on the [Search] to expose the available Classifications and select “RET”
- [Save] the record
STEP 3 – Browse the list with/without retired codes
- Place a tick in “Include Retired Codes” check box to show retired codes
- Leave check box unticked to hide the retired codes
