The “App” has been designed to take advantage of the features mobile devices can provide to help caregivers, students and staff engage with relevant information within PCSchool. The App does not replace the functionality of Spider, but it does allow for opportunities like push messaging to be used. The App can notify logged in users of alerts and general communications sent from the school. It allows caregivers to report absences, find relevant staff contacts, see absence and timetable information, as well as receive newsletters.
School Info – This is a configurable page whereby you can describe your school, inserting images and links as desired.
Directory – The directory allows you to select staff that you wish to appear. This is managed within Spider. You can elect to show the email address, phone number or both.

Contacts – This section allows descriptive text to be added to the schools contact information (email, fax, phone…). It also has a form that can be used to communicate directly with the school using push messaging. Messages sent from this area are received into a common inbox.
