Asset types, Departments, Rooms
These areas are optional and can be set up to further define the Asset. Before adding information to the following prerequisites please check with your System Administrator. Do not delete any of the details as they may be used in other modules.
Items can be categorised by the Asset Type such as Computer Equipment, Classroom Equipment etc, if you will be using Type the codes need to be set up.
Department: (Also used in Payroll)
Path: Finance >Utilities > Maintenance View > PAYDEPT
If using Departments to define which department pays for the expense you can add codes to the predefined list PAYDEPT, do not delete codes already entered as they may be used by other departments.
Room Codes: (Also used in Administration and Timetable)
Path: Finance > Other Modules > Asset Register > Room Codes
You can add rooms to allocate the Asset to further define where the expense is to be allocated. Important: Do not delete codes if already entered as room codes are also used in Student View for Form Classroom and in Timetable.
