Step 1. - Ensure each candidate has their CIE Candidate number listed in the Cambridge No: field (also known as Learner ID)
Step 2. - Making sure your Subject is set up correctly
Utilising the 'Board of Studies Code' enter the corresponding Cambridge Subject number followed by a period and then ASL for AS level, AL for A Level or IG for IGCSE.
Step 3. Allocate subject to students
Step 4. Create Areas of Assessment
The import process will import both the Grade and % for the overall result and also the component results. This will then allow you to analyse component results from year to year, class to class.
- Create an Academic Area of assessment (we suggest 200015) and allocate to the subject. This will import the overall Grade and Result.
- Create Areas of Assessment for Component Results as per the example pictured below. Again this should be Academic.

Go to your Live Assessment Reporting page in Spider and click on CIE 'Import Results'
This will take you to the 'Select Fields' tab
